Q: How can I use “DOKU Merchant”?
  1. Click 'Register' at the top right of the home page, and follow the steps provided to create a DOKU Merchant account.
  2. 'Log-In' and go to DOKU Merchant Back Office page and follow the instructions to verify your account. Here, you will need an ID card and TIN for individual accounts and director’s ID, company’s TIN, SIUP, TDP, and the Deed of Establishment for a corporate account.
  3. Once all the documents are uploaded, DOKU team will verify your account within 2 hours at most.
  4. Once your account has been verified, you can immediately receive payments through Link and Invoice Payment and start to integrate your web and mobile application with DOKU.
Q: When can I start using DOKU?

UYour account can be used once verified by DOKU team, verifications takes no later than 2 hours after you register. To enable certain features, the process takes longer, please contact sales@doku.com for more information.

Q: My business is divided into several business lines. Do I have to re-register to DOKU?

No need. You only need to register and verify one DOKU account, then you can add store/ new business through the Back Office.

Q: How do I integrate my website with DOKU?

DOKU offers two different ways of integration, DOKU-Hosted and Merchant-Hosted. In DOKU-Hosted, customers will complete a purchase on your page and then enter their payment details in DOKU page.

In Merchant-Hosted customers make payments on your page using a form that is hosted by DOKU, so you can provide convenient payment experience without having to worry about security. To perform the integration of Merchant-Hosted, please contact our Sales in sales@doku.com.

Q: Can DOKU payment page be customized?

Both the payment page in Merchant-Hosted or DOKU-Hosted payment pages can be customized to match the look & feel of your website pages.

Q: How can I receive payment without a website?
  1. Go to page DOKU Merchant Back Office.
  2. Click e-Invoice Payment on the menu.
  3. Enter the amount, description, and other transaction details on the form provided and send it to your customers through email, social media, or messenger services.
  4. Once the customer completes a payment, transaction details will be recorded on your Back Office Dashboard.
Q: Does DOKU have a plug-in / library?

Q: How long will the funds be disbursed?

If you use our DOKU - Full Service, funds will be disbursed by DOKU within 3 to 5 days after the transaction is done, where on the third day we receive the funds from the Bank, we reconcile of the fourth day and on the fifth day we disburse funds. If you use DOKU – Self-Managed, disbursement time of funds will be determined by banks.

Q: When does the new transaction succeed?

Successful transaction is immediately processed and can be viewed in real-time in the Back Office. However, funds cannot be cleared immediately due to the Bank’s SOP.

Q: Can I ask for disbursement to be done sooner?

DOKU can facilitate you to have a self-managed accounts, where the time of disbursement of funds can be negotiated with the bank. However, the bank will consider your line of business, number and volume of transactions, and other factors.

Q: Is there a transfer fee for disbursement?

Cost of funds disbursement will only be imposed if your bank account is not BCA or Mandiri.

Q: Is using DOKU for online transactions safe?

DOKU is certified with PCI-DSS level 1, the highest security levels that can be owned by a company involved in credit card processing. Additionally, DOKU Early Detection Unit has a team that is tasked to protect merchants from frauds using a combination of artificial intelligence and human’s analysis capabilities.

Q: How is the anti-fraud system in DOKU?

DOKU conduct surveillance of all transactions and will notify you when there is a suspicious transaction. After that, you are entitled to cancel or continue the transaction. DOKU monitoring system is included in the service and there is no additional cost.

Q: I need a special security system setting, can DOKU accommodate that?

Yes, you can subscribe to our Early Detection Unit service. You will have access to manage your own security system, cancel or continue transactions, and chargeback reimbursements (insurance fraud) up to 20% of your total value of transactions. Q: What should I do if my customer wanted a refund?

You can simply access DOKU Merchant Back Office and select Void/ Refund on the desired transaction.

Q: Who is responsible if there is a customer’s chargeback?

DOKU monitor all transactions and notify you in case of suspicious transactions, in which you have the right to cancel or continue the transaction. Therefore, Merchant is responsible in case of customer chargeback.

Q: What is the difference between Full Service and Self-Managed?

Full Service is an option where the transaction funds is collected in DOKU’s aggregator account before transferred to your account in T+3. By using the Full Service, you are free from all administrative and legal requirements with the bank. All new registrants will be registered to DOKU Merchant by default.

Self-Managed is an option which can be selected by the merchant to have a direct relationship with the bank. With this option, the transaction costs and time to transfer of funds can be negotiated directly with the bank concerned. DOKU transaction costs will be invoiced each month.   2. To conduct a transaction at a merchant, you do not need to send the data of your credit card number.
  3. Each transaction must use PIN (for cash wallet) or CVV (for credit cards).
  4. DOKU will not provide your personal information, except under written terms and conditions and privacy policy that has been approved.

Q: How do I shop with DOKU?

  1. Perform transaction at DOKU’s merchant website. Choose DOKU as the payment method.
  2. On the payment page enter your email or DOKU ID and password.
  3. Choose the method of payment; Credit Card or Cash Wallet.
  4. Check again your transaction, if its correct input CVV/ PIN and click "Process Payment".
  5. If you use a credit card you will be prompted to enter a One Time PIN (OTP) which is sent to your mobile phone number
  6. After the transaction is successful you can return to the merchant's website or print your transaction details.

Q: Are there any transaction limits?

  1. For transactions using Cash Wallet Rp. 1.000.000, - per transaction for a regular user and Rp. 5,000,000, - per transaction for premium user.

Premium user are users that has passed the verification process performed by DOKU accordance with the provisions of Bank Indonesia regulations concerning electronic money.

  • Premium users has a cash balance limit up to Rp 5.000.000, - while regular users only have cash balance limit up to Rp 1,000,000, -
  • Premium Users can transfer to bank account and do cash out in outlets.

Q: How can I be a Premium user?

You must have a valid identification such as ID cards, driver's license, passport or student card.
